Some people have a rich aunt or uncle who blesses their family with those little extras, or helps out in times of need. Some have wealthy parents who continually sow into their families lives. Well, my Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Ps 50:10) and He really knows how to bless!
I have run out of stock of my book, so I need to order some more. How can I sell books, if I have no stock? However, financially we are stretched to our limit at present and I could not afford to order any more. A bit of a pickle, if you know what I mean. So, I say to the Lord, “I’m going to step out in faith and order twenty books, because I believe You will provide.”
Holding my breath, I order the twenty, but I am soon informed that because they are low on stock, they cannot take an order of less than fifty copies. At first I feel rather dejected. What am I going to do now? I mope around for a few days, but then I get to thinking. What if I’m not stretching my faith far enough? “All right Lord, I’ll order fifty books.”
Then my daughter comes home from school and she has this wonderful opportunity to take horse riding lessons through the school. I can see she really wants to do this, but I feel helpless as we just cannot afford the substantial cost. I say to her, “Ok, I’m praying and believing for some money for my books, so you can pray and believe for some for the lessons too.”
I added a few more requests after that and informed my husband that I was believing for this large amount of money, so if it came in, these are the things it is for. But, then I felt bad, so I asked the Lord to throw in a bit extra so my hubby didn’t feel left out. Having discussed it with him, I went ahead and ordered the fifty books.
Day after day following that, I received so much confirmation from the Scriptures as well as from people around me–and they didn’t even know what I was believing for–I just knew God was going to come through. It’s that kind of gut feeling you get when you just know something is wrong, except in this case it was something right.
Well, last weekend I was handed an envelope. I thought nothing of it at the time. But, when I opened it later on, there was a wad of cash inside. Someone wanted to sow into my ministry! And, do you know, every single thing I asked for was covered, including a few hundred to bless my husband! How good is that?!
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Wow, Amanda, that’a a great story. It’s so important that we tell stories like this and remind our children that God is faithful. Until you experience God’s provision in this way, it can be easy to forget that He does provide for all our needs. Blessings, Jules
Yes, sometimes it is a daily battle to remember that God is in control and will provide for our every need. Somehow, I don’t think this miracle is over yet…
